The Brief

We were approached by the four Dublin Councils (Dublin City, Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, South Dublin and Finagal County Councils) to create the campaign creative vision and assets raising awareness for the voter.ie voter registration website.  The challenge was to create eye-catching, relatable, and impactful collateral that resonated with a diverse set of target audiences, while communicating 3 distinct messages in multiple languages. This would be done through both digital and print communication, ensuring maximum visibility across multiple channels.

Our Solution

First step was to work with our excellent comms team to brainstorm the message direction. This resulted in the “have you voter.ie’d?” direction. We then developed bold, contemporary visuals utilising the behavioral science concepts of social norms and reciprocity. Utilizing strong imagery, and clear messaging, we designed materials for social media, websites, billboards, and print advertisements.

Every piece was optimized for mobile platforms and digital interaction, ensuring accessibility and shareability across social networks. Print designs focused on high-traffic public spaces to maximize visibility and draw attention.

Results

The “Voter.ie” campaign was very successful with significant traction and a large increase in registrations. Client feedback was incredibly positive and the campaign worked so well that it has been run on multiple occasions.
