With our client base expanding, we are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our PR team. You will have a qualification in communications, business or public relations and/or have a minimum of two years’ experience working in a PR / communications role.

Here are some of the core responsibilities for this role:
- Take ownership of projects, driving them forward and ensuring successful completion with all stakeholders.
- Ability to proactively present solutions for consideration by the senior account team in respect of client challenges or growth opportunities.
- Proven ability in relation to social/digital media and a willingness to continue to expand training and knowledge in areas including, but not limited to, content development, platform optimisation, and design.
- Manage clients’ social media accounts, creating engaging and original content.
- Develop and refine web content, supporting clients with website updates.
- Track and analyse media coverage, turning insights into clear, actionable reports.
- Build strong relationships with clients and the media including pitching stories to media outlets.
- Research, draft, and distribute compelling press materials that capture attention.
- Maintain and update media lists and databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Conduct in-depth desk research to support campaigns or business development.
- Create engaging content for internal communication platforms, such as newsletters.
- Work with or manage third-party agencies to execute impactful media campaigns.
- Brainstorm and generate new ideas for innovative client communication activities.
- Monitor and analyse media, social media, and public sentiment to guide planning.
- Handle administrative tasks to keep everything running smoothly.
- Work with and support the client team (Account Manager, Account Director, as required).
- Be ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed in this role to support the team and service the clients.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to create strong relationships with clients
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience with Adobe or Canva or similar design/editing tools
- Experience with social media channels and content creation
- Experience creating PowerPoint presentations
- The ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- The ability to prioritise with meticulous attention to detail
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently
- The ability to troubleshoot and focus on solutions
- Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft
- Ability to travel freely around Europe for project meetings.

About the role:
With our client base expanding, we are looking for an Account Manager to join our PR team. You will have a qualification in communications, business or public relations and/or have a minimum of four years’ experience working in a PR / communications role The role will be hybrid, with the successful candidate required to work one day per week from a client office in North Dublin and one day per week from Carr Communications’ office, alongside remote working arrangements.
As an Account Manager, you will manage long-term retainer clients and execute communication campaigns using a combination of traditional, digital and social media tools and techniques. You will also play a role in the development of proposals and pitches to new clients.

Here are some of the core responsibilities you will have in this role:
- Manage client retainer accounts to a high standard and drive the completion of client projects.
- Manage and oversee the planning, development, and delivery of integrated communication materials, including project plans, press releases, stakeholder materials, speeches, timelines, key messages, and social media content.
- Lead and be the point of contact on clients and projects.
- Manage budgets, timelines, invoicing and project deliverables to ensure successful client outcomes.
- Ability to work with a senior team and follow direction to achieve client results.
- Contribute to business development efforts.
- Proactively develop positive relationships with clients and the media, update media lists and databases.
- Generate ideas for new communications activities for clients.
- Monitor and analyse media coverage reports, political monitoring and public affairs tracking to provide client insights and learnings.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging communication tools and technologies.
- Research, draft and distribute press materials.
- Some administrative tasks.
- On occasion, additional tasks and responsibilities may be added as required by the business.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum four years’ agency (or similar) working in a PR / communications role and experience managing retainer clients and short-term projects with at least one year at Senior Account Executive level
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to create strong relationships both internally and with our clients.
- The ability to troubleshoot and focus on solutions.
- Strong media experience, interested in current affairs with a proven track record generating media coverage for clients.
- Experience in tender writing and contribution to business development.
- Demonstrated understanding of media relations, crisis communications, and social media strategies.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Experience with social media channels and writing content for digital.
- Experienced at creating impactful presentations.
- The ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
- The ability to prioritise with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently but also with a team.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Suite. Hootsuite or Canva experience would also be a plus.
