OBJECTIVE

Developing and demonstrating effective textile recovery, waste valorisation and recycling processes combined with digital tools, sensing systems and data-driven solutions to support sustainable circularity of textiles

About the Project

Textile waste is a global problem, with less than 1% currently being recycled into new textiles. The main challenges to improving this include a lack of control over material flows, unclear requirements for recycled raw materials, and outdated labelling systems that don’t match current technologies.

tExtended is a 4-year EU-funded project aiming to address these issues. The project will create a Blueprint, a detailed plan to optimise upcycling and downcycling different types of textiles.

OUR ROLE

Carr Communications is the Communication and Dissemination Manager for tExtended. We develop the project’s brand identity and implement a creative and impactful communications strategy through media strategy, social media, stakeholder engagement and events. Our role is to ensure a consistent, coherent message about tExtended is delivered to key stakeholders at every project milestone. We collaborate and engage with high-level stakeholders throughout the EU to ensure the project’s outputs are understood and utilised.
